About Us

Monique L. Stinson is a Licensed Independent Social Worker - Clinical Practice (LISW-CP). She is also a certified family court mediator. Monique obtained her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from Auburn University and her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of South Carolina.  

She has current experience with incarcerated individuals and is a Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP). She also works with individuals and families in crisis. She has worked as a clinical counselor at  Charleston Center in the women's intensive outpatient & juvenile drug court programs.  She continues to provide drug and alcohol education when needed. Early in her career, she  worked as a parenting coordinator at the Cannon Street YMCA and the Father to Father Project before launching a small business. Previously, she counseled individuals and families at Oasis Christian Counseling, Moncks Corner, SC. Additionally, Monique has experience as an adjunct instructor at The New School University, Springfield College, and Trident Technical College. She has also done work in academic advising with Coastline College and Excelsior College. 

This vast set of experiences over the past 20+ years have given Monique a chance to participate in social work activities on a national level. Thus, she has made many valuable contributions to the community and the social work profession.

We use a variety of evidence-based techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness practices, to help our clients overcome negative thought patterns and behaviors. We use a holistic approach to mental health, addressing both the mind and body.
